Mastersword 1.1 Review

Well, since this mod isn't like the usual stuff, this review won't be like the usual stuff...
Remember that... I, Krofinzki did this first, so please like me :)

Diary of Krofinzki the Warrior - Saturday, October 27, 2001

This day started with the usual visit at Foglund's store where I bought some health potions, and a brand new knife. After that, I went down to the muddy areas and slaughtered some rats, It felt great! Then I decided that I wanted to something different, I packed my backpack full of useful things, such as the eternally glowing torch.

Then I headed for the Thornlands! When I reached there, I heard some strange
noises... Then two wild boars attacked me! It was a tuff battle indeed,
but I slaughtered them! I drank a Healthpotion and suddenly,
I was alerted by more noises.... I took out 3 more Boars and then I ran away
cause I realized that more of them would come...

I ran into a really dark cave, I took up my torch and I discovered that spiderwebs where all over the place, and they where gigantic! I could only imagine the size of the spiders that would make those webs! I heard the boars coming from the outside, And I thought: SHIT! I started to run into the dark! I could barely see infront of me!

And then I fell into a hole! I screamed cause I thought it was the end!
but no, I landed in more spiderweb. And then... A GIGANTIC Spider appeared!
He came closer and I reached for my sword, but I couldn't find it! I had lost my sword!
There was no other way, I started to run again, I heard the boars above me,
and I heard the gigantic spider behind me. I couldn't see where I was running, I tripped
over and over... This is the end... I wished that there would be a heaven...
And then I found a way out! I was free! Then I noticed that my sword where
in my backpack, I started to laugh, this was all really silly!

I headed for Helena, the nearest town. When I reached there, The townsfolk begged me to save them! Apparently Orcs had invaded Helena! I looked at the Orcs for about 10 seconds, and then I ran away... My sword skills aren't as great as 6 Orcs Axe-skills... I was out on the Thornlands again, I had a choice... Home or "The Cave of death", "The Cave of Death" is not the little cave

I were in before, This cave were rumored to be full of walking Skeletons... riiiiight....
I laughed the rumor in the face, and headed for "The Cave of Death"
When I reached there, I realized that this cave was really dark... And had lost my torch
in the Spidercave... Nothing to do about it, I ran in screaming like a barbarian
with the sword raised above my head, ready for a strike!
Sclash! I had killed an Orc! I laughed as I watched him fall down. And then.. I heard
the most horrible... whatever it was coming towards me... It made some seriously weird
noises! I ran out again, And it was right behind me!

I didn't believe my eyes! A walking Skeleton! And it was after me! I parried some of his attacks with my sword but he also hit me rapidly, I would die for certain if something doesn't happen soon! And then... amazingly, A boar came and jumped on the Skeleton! I was stuck in the middle and got seriously damaged! But then I fell on the boar and the Skeleton started to smash the boar instead,

And the board attacked the Skeleton too, I was badly injured and drank two
healthpotions, After a little while the boar died, Then I jumped up with my sword and
started to rapidly smash the Skeleton, It fell into pieces after a couple of hits.
I felt good about myself, but Still, I didn't want to be here!
So I ran all the way home, and now after a couple of potions, and some food.
I'm writing this... Now I'm going to sleep.


Well this pretty much covers the gameplay of Mastersword, An RPG with a lot
of adventures, buying weapons, potions, You know the drill.
But this is an early version and it still need some bug fixes, Cause when you get
stuck in your opponent you don't get happy! Or when you die and drop all
your stuff, and the computers hangs itself...
Another annoying thing is the stealing system, I say remove it! I hate when someone
comes up to me and takes my money!
But except that, This is a really good game, I think everyone should try it!
It gives a great experience on LANs!
