So I woke up later than I was supposed to (as always), but I got down to the job in time anyways so it doesn’t matter. But what does matter is the bike seat I have.. That thing is meant to kill, kill unsuspecting peoples buttcheecks. I don’t get how you decide to market a hard-plastic fucking seat.. IT HURTS. Gonna have to buy a new one, so there goes even more money down the drain, woho. On a lighter note, the job “education” was boring but paid me per hour. I got paid to sit down and listen to some people, AND I got free sandwiches. Beat that. Later on when I had gotten home, a friend of mine, Pelle, dropped by with his “new” car. It was all black and looked really cool, but the coolest thing about it, was the music that came with it. Arabic/Indian music. It kicked ass.
Here’s one of the songs: Yeah right here

Tomorrow I’ll head into town (big city.. Gothenburg) and see a concert. Can you guess the band? Well actually it’s 3 bands.. Steve Vai, Joe Satriani & Robert Fripp. The tour and concert is simply named “G3″. Those are 3 great guitarists with their own bands. Will be a kick-ass show!! I’ll write a review on it :) I should’ve written a review on Metallica also, I saw them when they played at Ullevi (30th May, In Gothenburg). I don’t think I’ll ever get around to it, so here’s a short one:

Metallica at Ullevi. May 30th 2004

We only had to stand in line for 40 minutes and we got to the front-row. No, not everyone was this lucky :) They where giving out red armbands at a location before the entrance and a lot of people just ran by them, we however realized those might be good.. and they fucking was!

18:00, Lost Prophets begins to play. The sound sucked and it wasn’t that loud either, a lot of people didn’t even have their earplugs on. I don’t think anyone in there really thought they where that great, and how can you be great when the sound sucks. Lost Prophets only played for half an hour, thank god.

19:00, Slipknot takes the stage. Slipknot kicked royal butt. I’ve heard people say the sound wasn’t that great further back, but where I stood the sound was great! I didn’t hear anyone play something wrong, but that might be hard to hear considering there’s 9 of them. A group of people in front of me decided to sit down and play poker when Slipknot was playing (Like.. 4 people), as a protest against them. I took a picture of it with my cellphone, and if I ever get those pics on a PC I’ll post ‘em here :) . I think some of the bandmember saw this, cause one of the percussionists (Chris, the one with the long nose) tried to throw an iron barrel in their direction (my direction).. but realized he didn’t want to lose the barrel and put it down on the stage instead. During “Spit It Out” everyone got down on the ground real quickly and “jumped the fuck up!” when Corey told us to, might’ve been the fastest get down on ever, atleast as far as I know and I’ve heard lots of liveshows.

20:45, Metallica. There’s not much I can say, all the songs where amazing.. except maybe “I Disappear” which was kind of slow, but that’s just if you’re looking for errors. The sound was amazing.. The Pyrocenetic was.. HOT (remember, front-row), big fucking flames shooting up into the sky during “Fuel”, “One”, “Enter Sandman” and a lot more songs probably (can’t remember). Before the show started, there was a “Some Kind Of Monster” trailer on the big screens, then scenes from “The Good The Bad And The Ugly” appeared. Someone running around in a huge graveyard (I haven’t seen the movie, but it looked really emotional) while “The Ecstasy Of Gold” starts plays.. the whole crowd started to hum with the symphony. and then… METALLICA! I’m sorry, you had to be there, it was fucking awesome. I hadn’t drunk (ok, one beer before Lost Prophets) or eaten in 9hrs and I already had a huuge headache. But it didn’t matter, I still headbanged the whole time, I felt like my brain had left the head and where located behind it instead!
Woooo!

Ok, guess that wasn’t that short ^^
Tune in tomorrow for more concerty goodness!

Edit (2008-02-21): Here’s a youtube video of Metallica playing “One” at this concert.
